Thank you for your interest in the Queens Museum! We are currently undergoing an expansion of our facility and will not be viewing unsolicited submissions until further notice. Our biennial, Queens International, features Queens-based artists and we conduct open calls for that exhibition only. The date of the next biennial has not yet been determined. Here are some images from “Those about to Die…”. I recieved 800 hits since I posted them the day after. I dare MoMA or the MET to throw a better, rabble-rousing event!
If you have any events you would like a professional event photographer to cover please do not hesitate to ask.

Although I now live elsewhere, I was born and raised in Queens. Would I qualify for the Queens International? I’d like to submit my work if possible.
Thank you.

I am Mercedes Boronat’s assistant, from Barcelona, Spain, and I would like to know which is the best approach to submit a work for 2010. Mercedes is a contemporary artist, choreographer and dancer, who has been implementing workshops on her own methodology called THE ART OF MOVEMENT. The idea is to give a workshop for professional dancers and after to have an audition for a Human Installation titled COLD-FRED-FRIO. More information can be checked by visiting our site http://www.mercedesboronat.com
I hope to hearing from you as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Joao Brandao
