This program is designed for Deaf Youth.  Students will work with ArtAccess Educator, Michelle Santarpia, and Photographer, Sol Aramendi to create a multi-media story through digital photography.

Storytelling will be inspired by the book, Wonderstruck, in words and pictures by Brian Selznick. Students will examine the drawings in the exhibition to gain understanding of story boarding and storytelling through visual elements.  Then students will design and capture their own story with digital cameras.

Cameras will be provided for the program by the education department.  This is a closed group, therefore registration is required.  Maximum number of Deaf students is six.  Students should be between the ages of 13-18.  Michelle Santarpia is fluent in ASL.

*Unfortunately, this course has been cancelled.* To inquire about future programming, send an email to Michelle López, Manager of ArtAccess Programs & Autism Initiatives at the Queens Museum of Art at mlopez@queensmuseum.org.
