| Ederle, an installation created
by American artist Dennis Adams specifically for the Queens Museum of Art
and its Site-the New York City Building, which houses QMA, took part in
the 1939 New York World's Fair, and The Ederle Amphitheatre, the noted Aquacade
at the Fair, was located until 1995 south of QMA in Flushing Meadows Corona
Park-explores collective memory and cultural amnesia by contrasting an enormous
photograph (taken by Adams) of the Ederle Amphitheatre in ruins, with film
clips from the 1939 and 1964 New York World's Fair drawn from the Museum's
