  City Speculations

City Speculations enlisted several contemporary architects to revive Robert Moses' idea of using the Panorama of the City of New York, the world's largest architectural scale model, located at the Queens Museum of Art, as an active urban planning tool, by creating installations and videos which explored urban space in the contemporary world. The projects offered less wholistic visions of urban life than Moses' vision, exploring more specific, skeptical, post-modern and even neighborhood issues-highlighting a significant shift in urban planning perspectives over the course of a generation.
