New New Yorkers ESOL: Let’s talk English!

Saturday, March 13, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, 2010

Come and spend the Winter months developing your English skills looking at art and enjoying a warm drink! Enrich your life and increase your employment opportunities while exploring NYC history, geography, language, art and culture with artist Rivka Karasik. This class will focus on communication, verbal expression and pronunciation. No prior experience necessary!

Students working with Artist Daniel Boshkov

Rivka Karasik is a local Artist and Educator. Her experience includes integrating storytelling, art-making, games, debates and teamwork with traditional teaching methods. Ms. Karasik has worked for various museums and art organizations with people from all backgrounds to assist them in understanding and appreciating art.

Nutra su vida y mejore sus oportunidades de empleo mientras explora la historia, geografía y cultura de la ciudad de Nueva York con la artista Rivka Karasik. Esta clase tendrá un enfoque en torno a la comunicación verbal y la pronunciación.

Rivka Karasik es una artista local con amplia experiencia en la educación. La Srta. Karasik ha experimentado en los campos del video, las artes plásticas, la retórica y el trabajo en grupo y ha colaborado con varios museos, instituciones y grupos de la ciudad, fomentando la apreciación por las artes y el entendimiento entre culturas.
