MetLife First Sundays for Famililes Presents: Exploring World’s Fair Architecture - Create A Gingerbread Pavilion

Sunday, December 6, 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm, 2009

To celebrate the winter season, families will be invited to make distinctive and diverse gingerbread pavilions inspired by the artist O Zhang’s exploration of the 1939 World’s Fair. Meet the artist for a tour of her project Cutting the Blaze to New Frontiers, in which she collaborated with Queens youth to create their own imaginary pavilions from the countries of their origin. Enjoy hot chocolate and winter holiday snacks from around the world. In the spirit of the holiday season please bring your gently used coats to donate to the New York Cares coat drive.
