OPEN REVIEW OF NEW YORK-AREA ARTISTS FOR BULOVA SATELLITE GALLERY:
The QMA Satellite Gallery at Bulova Corporate Center (75-20 Astoria Boulevard, Jackson Heights, NY 11370) presents three changing exhibitions each year. Open reviews of portfolios from New York-area artists for one-person exhibitions and group show proposals by New York-area curators are conducted on an ongoing basis.

To have your work considered, please send CV with exhibition history, visual materials (10-20 color printouts or screen-resolution JPG files on CD of past work and/or 3-5 minutes of time-based work on DVD; please do not send originals), a concise statement about your work and other pertinent documents to:

CALL FOR ARTISTS: The open call for our upcoming exhibition, "This Case of Conscience": Spiritual Flushing and the Remonstrance, April 6 – June 29, 2008 at the Queens Museum is now closed. More on the Flushing Remonstrance and its 350th anniversary.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted photographs in celebration of religious tolerance. Please join us on Sunday, May 18th from 3-6 at the Queens Museum of Art to celebrate the historical impact of the Flushing Remonstrance and the religious diversity of Queens.
The exhibition closes on June 29. Please pick up your work no later than July 11 or:
a) Donate your framed photograph(s) to the Queens Photography Archive
b) Donate your photograph(s) to the Queens Photography Archive, but keep and pick up the frame by July 11
If you choose to donate your photograph(s) to the Queens Photography Archive we will send you a Deed of Gift to sign. We are looking forward to showing your photographs and celebrating the religious diversity in Flushing!
CALL FOR ARTISTS: THE LOUIS ARMSTRONG HOUSE MUSEUM SEEKS ARTIST TO CREATE A NEW WORK FOR VISITOR CENTER.
Background
• The Louis Armstrong House Museum is creating a Visitors Center across the street from the museum.
• The project to design and construct the Visitors Center is being administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) and by the City University of New York (CUNY).
• The design team wishes to bring an artist into the design process and to enrich the Visitors Center with the installation of new art.
• The art may be any form of visual art conceived in any medium, material, or combination thereof. The art may also be a sound or video installation.
• The art must relate in a meaningful way to the life and artistry of Louis Armstrong. The art must enhance the visitor experience.
• The artist will be paid from the construction budget.
• We anticipate that the design team will select an artist in June or July 2008.

Artists who wish to be considered for the Visitors Center project should e-mail (1) a brief statement about their art and (2) their contact information (name, address, telephone, and e-mail) to Deslyn Dyer (Assistant Director of the Louis Armstrong House Museum) at deslyn.dyer@qc.cuny.edu.
