High School and University Students

Queens Teens

Students from the High School for Arts and Business in Corona and Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Long Island City form a corps of Teen Educators at the Queens Museum. After school on Thursdays, 25 of these Queens Teens meet to refine their skills looking at art and working with the public. On the weekends, their assistance is most valuable as they are the public face for the Queens Museum, teaching in our Family Education art workshops and responding to visitors’ questions in our galleries. For their time on Thursday, the students receive community service credit for school and are paid for ther weekend time. For more information, please call (718) 592-9700 x137 or email: Queens Teens.

“Our school and the art students have been the beneficiaries of this program in ways that have transcended our expectations.”
- Jane Hoellman Kahn
Art Department Head, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts
