Directed by Peter Yates, 100 minutes. Starring Dennis Christopher, Dennis Quaid and Paul Dooley.

The Competitive Edge is a five-week series that examines the nature of competition. Does it make us better, or just stronger? Does the better person win? Each screening is preceded by an introduction and followed by a discussion.

The Film Series is created by Mark Ethan, a member of the Actors Studio, who has appeared in films including “The Secret Lives of Dentists,” “The Confession” and “Lesser Prophets.” He has been presenting the Film Series at the Queens Museum of Art since 1998.
